DAILY HOME SCREENING
Parents/Guardians,
Please review the following symptom checklist everyday prior to sending your child to school. Consult with your Health Care Provider as needed with any questions or concerns. JSD 171 staff will be working closely with Public Health and Clearwater Valley Clinic/Hospital to help us determine the health needs of ill students, when to send students home, recommendations for COVID-19 testing and when it is safe to return to school. Student names and identifying information will NOT be shared with the clinic/hospital. Clearwater Valley Clinic will also be offering telehealth visits as needed from the comfort of your own home. Contact them at 208-476-5777 to set up an appointment.
KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME IF THEY HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:
-
Fever of 100.4 or higher
-
Chills
-
Sore throat
-
New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing (for students with chronic allergic/ asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline)
-
Diarrhea, Vomiting or Abdominal pain
-
New onset of headache, especially with a fever
-
Loss of sense of taste and/or smell
KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME IF THEY HAVE ANY COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:
-
Headache
-
Cough
-
Fatigue, tiredness
-
Muscle aches
-
Sore throat
-
Congestion, runny nose
Please DO NOT administer Tylenol or Ibuprofen to “get through the day” as this may mask symptoms and the student may unknowingly spread disease to others. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medicine before returning to school.
It is imperative that your contact information is updated at all times. Any student who gets sick while at school will need to go home immediately and will not be allowed to ride the bus home.
Thank you
